MyFavoriteModel.com: Hi Luana, we did a little research and found out that you were born in the Philippines but grew up in Maui.  What was in like growing up in Hawaii and when did you decide to move to the mainland?
Luana Lani: Looking back, I now realize that I was very lucky to grow up in Hawaii.  Maui is a just a beautiful place and the people there are so real.  While I was growing up though, I couldn’t wait to move away and see the rest of the world.  I moved to the mainland when I was 18 years old.

MyFavoriteModel.com: How did you start your modeling career?
Luana Lani: I started modeling professionally when I turned 18.  I did a bunch of photoshoots with photographers, posted my work online wherever I could, and gained fans.

MyFavoriteModel.com: We love your website and wanted to know what inspired you to launch MissLuana.com?
Luana Lani: I’ve wanted a website for the longest time.  I just liked the idea of having my own thing, updating it with new stuff, and having more control.

MyFavoriteModel.com: Was it a long process designing and shooting for MissLuana.com?
Luana Lani: It’s an ongoing process.  Still to this day I am shooting content.  I am also thinking of redesigning but that isn’t as high on my list of priorities at the moment.

MyFavoriteModel.com: We love all your magazine and internet features and wanted to know how you were discovered for Stuff Magazine, Playboy, and Mystique Magazine?
Luana Lani: I submitted my pictures to Mystique Magazine.  As far as Playboy and Stuff, they found my online portfolio at OneModelPlace.com.

MyFavoriteModel.com: What was the experience like traveling and shooting for Mystique Magazine?
Luana Lani: My experiences with Mystique Magazine have always been amazing and memorable.  They treat their models like princesses!

MyFavoriteModel.com: What are some of your plans for the end of this year?
Luana Lani: I plan on doing more shoots for my website.  I’m also looking into going back to school and studying photography.
